SDC was founded by a group of Stanford alumni who thought it'd be cool if undergraduates had the opportunity to work on real-life design work. I applied for the group when it was first announced and ended up working with Airbnb to explore how hosts could interact with guests more like friends / a community by redesigning the registration process and guest/host profile UI. Working together with a local designer, I conducted user interviews with long-term Airbnb hosts and guests and presented my research findings and UI mockups to Airbnb researchers.
